Franticshipping Drabbles (1)

        

        Sapphire wondered why Ruby had been avoiding her lately. Ever since Steven had visited, Ruby had abruptly stopped talking to her, even closing his window, which he usually left open for Sapphire to visit. She wondered if he was jealous. She shook her head at the thought. Ruby knew that Sapphire was merely friends with Steven, and that Sapphire only thought of him as one. Ruby never struck Sapphire as the jealous type either, he never acted like it... Sapphire never actually noticed though... When she had decided to visit Wally, she ran into Ruby, who, after being chased down, finally gave up and decided to talk things out with Sapphire. He sat himself on the grass, and refused to look at Sapphire as she sat next to him. 
        "Why have you been avoiding me?" Ruby didn't answer, "Ruby I thought we were gonna talk things out."
        "I never actually agreed to doing such a thing." at least he was talking, that was good enough for her.
        "Ruby... are you jealous?" his eyes became wide, and he pulled away from her, but left his hand on top of hers.
        "Of course I'm not." he replied curtly, "I just... don't like him."
        "Why?"
        "...I don't want you liking him more than me." despite the seriousness of their conversation, Sapphire laughed. "It's not funny!" Ruby yelled, obviously embarrassed, "Lots of girls find him attractive!"
        "Kinda is. Of course I like you more than him." she spoke. "Besides, I think you're better looking then him anytime."
        "...So why were spending time with him?"
        "Papa wanted me to help out with the project of building a Nature Reserve like one they have in Unova." she explained, "Steven was helping out with it also."
        "Oh... sorry for avoiding you the whole week."
        "It's ok. But you've gotta make it up to me!"
        "How?"
        Sapphire grinned, "Movie marathon!"

        Sapphire had fallen asleep in her Secret Base, (while Ruby had been brushing her hair) but had suddenly woken up, to see something black and warm in front of her, covering her entire vision. It took her a moment to register that the object was a person, and that person was Ruby. Sapphire lightly pushed away from Ruby, allowing her to at least look around her. They lay on a large futon, under the tent Ruby had set up in the base, with a pillow. Ruby had taken the liberty of removing her shoes, and positioning her in a comfortable position on the futon. While he had been sleeping, Ruby had unconsciously pulled Sapphire close to him, or that's what she thought at least. Sapphire drew her attention to Ruby, who hadn't noticed her movement, and was in a deep slumber. His breathing was shallow, and her breathing hitched. The moonlight shined down on Ruby in an angle that seemed to make him glow, and he looked so peaceful, Sapphire could have just lay there, watching him all night.
        "Ngh." Ruby's voice attracted her attention, "Sapph..." upon hearing her name, Sapphire smiled, and buried her face in Ruby's shirt, drinking in the smell of him, and absorbing the warmth he radiated. She was happy. Happy that she was always on Ruby's mind, even when he was sleeping.
